Day 4: Stockholm: Gamla Stan - Barcelona

The alarm rings at 7:30 in the morning. Today is our last day of the trip to Stockholm for free and after going to the lounge for a couple of coffees to go up to the room, get ready and leave the suitcase ready, we go down to breakfast and load energies for a few minutes after 9 The morning will be leaving the Comfort Stockholm Hotel under a layer of fine rain and fog that accompanies us on our journey to Gamla Stan, which will be our destination these last hours we have left in the city.
What a surprise we had when we saw the city shrouded in fog compared to these two previous days that we had the good fortune to enjoy it with the sun.

Today we have a few hours, until 12 or so, when we will go to Skavsta airport to return to Barcelona and we decided that we will devote these hours to return to the neighborhood that we liked most in Stockholm: Gamla Stan, this time with just one camera, without having the objective of photography, getting lost in the streets and enjoying the city.

As the minutes pass and we get closer to Gamla Stan the sun begins to appear, letting us see "kind face"from Stockholm.

Road to Gamla Stan in Stockholm

Gamla Stan It is the Old Town or Old City of Stockholm and is the most visited area by tourists, which today, we see as they appear as the sun also makes a presence.
But it's not like on the first day we came here after the Royal Tour cruise.

Today the day is covered and it has rained, giving the city a totally different air than what we had seen so far and what, why not say it, we also like it very much.

Gamla Stan

Today, seeing how it is Gamla Stan, it is hard to imagine that in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, this place was the poor and marginal area of Stockholm.

After getting lost in the streets of historic center of Stockholm, we recommend that you do it without a map in hand, just letting yourself be carried away by intuition, since this way you will have all the attention directed to what really matters. Therefore, if you can, this area of the city, it is convenient to visit it a couple of times. One to know the most important places and another only to enjoy it, without more.

Streets of Gamla Stan in Stockholm

After a good tour of many of the streets and corners of Gamla Stan, we finish again in one of its most emblematic places, the Stortorget Square, especially beautiful today, after being in the rain.

Boarding time arrives at the scheduled time and after accommodating ourselves in our seats we have nothing left but to remember everything we have lived in this trip to Stockholm and of course, start thinking about the next one, for which there is little more than a month left and with which we will return to Italy, a country to which we have already been 9 times and to which we never tire of returning.

Flying over the Costa Brava

As soon as we land and leave the plane, we call Aparca i Vola, the parking lot that we always use in our trips, so that they bring us the car to the T2 so that we can continue our return home and end one of the getaways that you most want We had to do this year.
